Spatial Audio Quality Control Engineer:

Responsible for objectively evaluating the quality of Dolby Atmos deliverables at Apple Music.

Core requirements (in no particular order):

- Audio Engineering Degree + professional Experience, or equivalent professional experience
- Deep expertise in Dolby Atmos workflows (Renderer/Album Assembler/Signal Flow/ Media Encoder/Conversion Tool)
- Strong understanding of ADM BWFs, metadata and delivery specifications
- Knowledgable about different codecs/formats. Specifically DD+ JOC and AC-4, 5.1 and 7.1
- Excellent Communication Skills, able to stand behind and clearly communicate/explain decisions consistently
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain Darwin-based systems
- Ability to execute, debug and troubleshoot scripts
- Solid understanding of music production, recording technology, industry standards and music/recording history
- Proficiency in Logic Pro
- Highly developed critical listening skills and pattern recognition
- Strong industry awareness and professional network

Nice to have:
- Proficiency in FileMaker Pro
- Proficiency in multiple DAWs
- Familiarity with content delivery pipelines
